A deposit of 50% is required for all cake orders (and is non-refundable). Your booking will only be made once a deposit is received

Any alterations to the original order must be confirmed in writing and may be subject to an additional charge. It is asked that ALL amendments to wedding cake orders must be requested one month before the date of the wedding. Late amendments to celebration cake orders may be possible and every effort will be made to accommodate changes, but this cannot be guaranteed.
These are due one month before the wedding/celebration either by cash or bank transfer. If you are collecting the cake yourself, you may make your balance payment in cash on the day of collection. Please note that if you don’t provide payment, you will not receive your cake.
In the event of cancellation, work already completed is chargeable. I’m afraid that deposits are non-refundable due to the fact that I will not have taken on any other commissions once your cake has been booked into my diary. Every effort will be made to fit in with postponement of orders.
All quotations (either written or verbal) are valid for 30 days from the date of quotation.
Once your cake has been delivered and set up at your venue Sherry Hostler Cake Artistry will not be liable for any loss or damage to the cake caused by third parties. If your cake is collected by yourself or a designated third party, Sherry Hostler Cake Artistry will not be liable for any damage once it has left our premises. If you are storing your cake before it is eaten, make sure it is in a cool room, away from sunlight. Do not store decorated cakes or toppers in a fridge.
All delivery charges can be provided on request. Please bear in mind there will be an additional £10 congestion charge if needed for London deliveries. On occasion, there may be unexpected events that make the delivery of your cake to your venue inaccessible, such as severe weather conditions. Please note that we will do our utmost to deliver your cake as arranged, however wedding insurance is always advised for peace of mind.
Any cakes that are collected from our premises will be boxed for transportation. Please bear in mind that these cakes are often heavy, and need to be transported on a flat surface to avoid damages. If you are storing your cake before it is eaten, make sure it is in a cool room, away from sunlight. Do not store decorated cakes or toppers in a fridge.
We hire out different stands if required on which to display your cake. Stand hire is £10, along with a refundable £50 or £100 deposit, depending on the stand. We ask that all stands are returned personally by prior arrangement a maximum of 5 days after your event. If stands are not returned, returned damaged, or with pieces missing your deposit is surrendered. Stands must NOT be returned via the postal system.
On occasion, some cakes can feature inedible items such as brooches, wires, ribbons flower picks and flowers. Please be aware that these items should be removed before serving and eating the cake, and Sherry Hostler Cake Artistry accepts no responsibility for any harm caused if these precautions are not taken.
It is requested that tuition is paid for in full at the time of booking. If a cancellation is made less than one week prior to a booking then a 50% refund will be made. We reserve the right to cancel classes, and in this event, a full refund will be made.
